WHAT IS A SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR?

A spiritual director is called to guide individuals who are seeking ongoing orientation, encouragement, and discernment in the life of the Spirit. A spiritual director is a companion for those on the spiritual journey of discipleship.
 

WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?

The 18 months program will provide classes on spiritual traditions, skills and contemporary issues as well as providing mentoring, peer groups and individual supervision to support the formation of students in the art of spiritual direction.
 

ARE YOU CALLED TO THE MINISTRY OF SPIRITUAL DIRECTION?

Discerning a call to spiritual direction is the first step in this journey of companionship. Consider the following questions as you reflect on this calling:

•Do you find prayer to be a integral part of your life?

• Do you have a zeal for spirituality?

• Do you allow those on the margins of society to affect and transform you?

• Have you wrestled with dimensions of your faith?

• Do you engage in spiritual conversations with others?

• Have you been approached by others who want to talk with you about their spirituality and prayer?

• Are you a practicing Christian active in a faith community?

• Have you sought out spiritual direction in your own life?
