This coming Thursday, June 18, the Vatican will release Pope Francis’s encyclical on the environment, “Praised Be: On the Care of Our Common Home” (Laudato sii). People all over the world are eagerly awaiting the Pope’s call to save God’s creation and protect the poor (who are those most harmed by ecological destruction).
